Sandgrounder Radio

Sandgrounder Radio is an Independent Local Radio station that serves the North West Coast of England, covering Southport, the Liverpool City Region, the Fylde Coast, and West Lancashire. The station, which started life as a 28-day RSL (Restricted Service Licence) covering Southport on FM in November 2015, now broadcasts full time on DAB Digital Radio and online​. It offers a full range of programmes 24 hours a day and is known for its promotional trips aboard the "Sandgrounder Shuttle", a fully branded bus featuring the images of several presenters​.

In 2023, Sandgrounder Radio rebranded to Dune Radio, continuing to provide a local, commercial radio service with a clutch of new features and a fresh new look​. The station's Content Director, Andy Hilbert, stated that the team is dedicated to making Dune Radio an informative, entertaining, and engaging service for the whole of the North West Coast, with plans for new ways to engage with local people and businesses​​.
