London Greek Radio - 103.3 FM London
About radio
London Greek Radio (LGR) is a distinctive radio station primarily dedicated to serving the Greek community in London. It operates under the banner "The radio station of Greeks in London" and broadcasts a mix of Greek language programming and popular music.
LGR's journey began as a pirate radio station in 1983, playing a significant role in Greek Cypriot political movements. However, it was forced to cease operations in October 1989. Not to be silenced, the station returned in a legal capacity in 1990, after securing a broadcasting license from the Radio Authority, making it the first radio station to broadcast in a language other than English on FM. It currently broadcasts on 103.3 FM to London and the Home Counties and is also available online for listeners worldwide, making it a bridge between the Greek community in the UK and those in other parts of the globe.
