Xpression FM - 87.7 FM Exeter

Xpression FM is a vibrant and award-winning campus radio station for the University of Exeter in England, broadcasting live and online 24 hours a day. Initially founded as University Radio Exeter (URE) in 1976, the station has been a staple of the University's student-led initiatives, offering a platform for students to explore various opportunities regarding radio broadcasting​​.

The station, which has its roots under the stairs of Devonshire House on the campus of the University of Exeter, began as a low power broadcasting unit using induction loop aerials to broadcast to halls of residence. Over the years, it evolved and was allowed to use a low-power FM system in the late 1990s. The station was renamed "Xpression FM 87.7" at the start of 2001, symbolizing its growth and expansion​​.

Xpression FM has established itself as a dynamic and diverse radio station, bringing a variety of content to its listeners.
