Aycliffe Radio is a community radio station for Newton Aycliffe and the surrounding area, launched on 1st December 2017. The station is operated entirely by volunteers from two studios in the Blue Bridge Centre and broadcasts a mix of popular music, local news, events and information, with specialist music genres in the evenings and weekends including Rock, Punk, Folk, Motown, Country, Jazz, R'n'B, Northern Soul, Ska, Indie, Hip Hop and more. Since August 2023 the station can also be heard on local small scale DAB+ around the south Durham area.
