London Turkish Radio (Londra Türk Radyosu) has been the voice of Turkish and Turkish-speaking communities abroad since its launch in 1990. Originally broadcasting for only one hour per day, its immediate success led to a license for 24-hour broadcasting. The radio station, which initially went by the name Turkish Radio, rebranded to London Turkish Radio in 1994 and has since grown significantly in popularity​.

The station is unique in its offering of 24-hour Turkish language community radio outside of Turkey and Northern Cyprus. Its broadcast area was initially Greater London, with coverage extending over most of the London boroughs, particularly those with large numbers of Turkish and Turkish-speaking residents. For instance, in the London Borough of Haringey alone, it boasted over 80,000 listeners​.

As of 2013, London Turkish Radio transitioned to online broadcasting, making it accessible to listeners all around the world. Through its live internet service, it has attracted a global audience from the United States to Europe, Asia, and as far as Australia and Japan​​.

The station specializes in music, news, and politics. It offers special interviews that allow listeners to get to know their favorite artists more closely and supports new musicians by featuring their albums in live broadcasts and on social media. It also provides the latest music news, keeping its audience informed about the current happenings in the music world, upcoming concerts, and hit songs of the year​​.

London Turkish Radio also serves as a link between the Turkish diaspora and the homeland, providing a platform for London-based listeners to ask questions about matters like consular issues, military service, social insurance, and visa procedures​​.
