About radio
GFM 96.6, or Gloucester FM as it's known, is a vibrant community radio station that broadcasts throughout Gloucestershire, both on traditional 96.6FM and online. With a tagline that reads 'Serving the Community', GFM distinguishes itself as the only local radio station in the city of Gloucester that broadcasts music, news, information, and advice, all from Gloucester, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
As a 'not-for-profit organisation', all of the station's presenters and behind-the-scenes staff are volunteers, a testament to the sense of community that GFM embodies. The station's presenter-led programming starts from 8am to 1am on weekdays and from 7am to 1am on weekends. Some of the notable presenters working on the station include Jerry 'the hippo' Hipkiss, who hosts the weekday breakfast show, Fredlocks on drivetime, Carol Francis with the Community Link Show, and many others, providing a diverse array of content for their audience.
The studios of GFM are based in the Barton and Tredworth Trust Centre, Gloucester, adding to its community-centric approach. They provide both local and national news, with Sky News Radio supplying National News Bulletins. Moreover, GFM also offers up-to-date Caribbean news headlines, reflecting the diverse interests of its audience.

How is the rating calculated?
The more people listen to the radio station during the last 7 days, the higher it ranks.
Only unique plays are counted; repeatedly reloading the page or pressing “Play” multiple times does not affect the ranking.
