About radio
Heart 90s is an engaging national digital radio station owned and operated by Global as a spin-off from Heart. Broadcasting from studios at Leicester Square in London, it was launched on 29 August 2019 and primarily plays non-stop "feel good" music from the 1990s. It has its own dedicated live breakfast show, hosted by Kevin Hughes, that airs from 6–10 am on weekdays, while at other times, the station operates as an automated service. Interestingly, the first song played on the station was "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls, and it was later launched on Sky channel 0217 in November 2019.
According to a survey conducted from September to December 2021, Heart 90s reaches an audience of 545,000 adults (15+) per week, who collectively listen for a total of 2,280,000 hours per week. Each listener tunes in for an average of 4.2 hours per week, giving the station a market share of 0.2%.
