About the Radio Station
Hull\'s 107FM, formerly known as Hull Kingston Radio, is an independent low-power FM radio station that has grown into Hull\'s largest community radio station, serving the North and East areas of Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire, England. The station is beloved by its audience and is known for broadcasting a wide array of community programming since its launch on 5 February 2015. The radio station\'s journey began with a group of entrepreneurs and co-directors of existing enterprises setting up the original Hull Kingston Radio in the offices at the grounds of Craven Park in East Hull. As the station grew and expanded beyond its original offices at the East Hull rugby grounds, it became more than just a source for sports content. It evolved into a fully-fledged information and entertainment station, aiming to include and entertain the population beyond the original starting blocks of the East Hull studios. This inclusivity drove the name change to Hull\'s 107FM, signaling the station\'s intent to serve the whole of Hull and not just those in the \'Hull Kingston\' area of the city.
