Cumbernauld FM, often referred to as CFM, is North Lanarkshire\'s community not-for-profit radio station, run entirely by passionate volunteers. It was first established in 1987 as the pioneer music radio station broadcasting from Cumbernauld, moving its operations online in 1998. This station serves the town of Cumbernauld and surrounding areas both on FM frequency 106.8 MHz and online, making it possible for listeners to tune in live from various platforms. Offering something for everyone, CFM delivers top-class community programming, entertainment, and the latest local, national, and community news. Additionally, it provides a platform for various organizations, including Community Councils, Forums, Police Scotland, Charities, and local businesses to highlight their work and services. Apart from broadcasting, CFM also takes on the role of training individuals in basic audio and video recording, editing, and radio broadcasting skills. As a company registered in Scotland and operating in the not-for-profit sector, CFM is an integral part of the community it serves.
