CandoFM's core mission is to build and strengthen community throughout the Furness Peninsula. CandoFM runs both live and pre-recorded shows, which are created by over 50 active volunteers ranging in age from 10 to 75. These volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and include retired police officers, students, and both employed and unemployed individuals. Their passions and interests inform the programming, providing a distinctive flavor to the station​​.
