Animal Farm
Animal Farm is a reading of George Orwell's 1945 satirical novella, in which the animals of Manor Farm rise up against their human owner and take control of the farm themselves. They set out to build a society based on equality and shared labour, summed up in the maxim that all animals are equal. Over time, however, the pigs gradually accumulate privileges and power, rewriting the rules to suit themselves and betraying the revolution's original ideals. The story serves as an allegory about how revolutions can be corrupted and replaced by a new form of tyranny.
