Smoke Radio is the University of Westminster's award-winning student-run radio station. Launched on November 1, 2004, the station broadcasts online from a studio located in the Media Arts and Design campus of the university in Harrow. You can tune in and listen live to a variety of student-led programs including music, news, and more, showcasing the diverse talents and interests of the university's student body.
As of 2019, Smoke Radio had over 3,200 followers on Twitter and approximately 2,700 likes on Facebook, demonstrating a significant online presence and engagement with their listeners. The station is part of Smoke Media, which offers a mobile app for Android users, making it even more accessible for listeners on the go.
The team behind Smoke Radio comprises of passionate students holding various roles from Head of Multimedia to Producers and Presenters, ensuring a dynamic and engaging programming for their audience. Some notable team members include George McDonagh (Station Manager), Ben Fairclough (Head of Multimedia), and James Larvin (Head of Social Media and Branding), among others.
