Radio2Funky is Leicester's only dedicated Black Music & Arts Community Radio Station, committed to championing local talent​​. This station is dedicated to the celebration of Black music and arts, and is a prominent source of dance and urban music​​. It has an online presence, where audiences around the world can listen live to their broadcasts​​.

Originating from Leicester's vibrant underground music scene of the 90s, Radio2Funky was born as an internet radio station in 2012, filling the void left by the disappearance of pirate radio stations. Its playlists are dedicated to music genres such as soul, R&B, hip-hop, jungle, bashment, and drum & bass, with a particular focus on promoting homegrown talent​.

Radio2Funky's success as a community station has led to a strong, loyal audience. Over the years, it has also contributed to the development of 2Funky Arts, another pillar of the 2Funky family, providing workshops and educational projects in the creative arts. Notably, in 2018, it was one of two stations in the UK to be awarded an Ofcom FM license, and began broadcasting on 95.0 FM on July 17, 2020​​.
