LDC Radio

LDC Radio, also known as 97.8 FM Leeds, is a popular community radio station based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Specializing in a wide variety of dance and urban music, LDC Radio is the go-to station for genres such as House, Hardcore, Jungle, Drum & Bass, Grime, Dubstep, Reggae, Ragga, Soul, Hip Hop, R&B, and more. The station also features unreleased music from local artists and provides speech content that includes shout-outs, dedications, news bulletins, and local information. Notable presenters on the station include Hard Dance DJ Amber D, former Radio Aire & Minster FM presenter Carl Kingston, and YouTube personality Danny Malin, among others​.

Launched in June 2020 in collaboration with Leeds Beckett University, LDC Radio has grown to become a significant part of the local media scene. The station operates from its studio in Leeds City Centre and broadcasts live with a transmitter site located on a residential tower block in the Armley area of the city. Coverage extends to most of the urban area of Leeds, and the radio station also began broadcasting on DAB in Leeds and Bradford in late 2022​​.
