Funky SX, also known as Funky Essex, is Essex's only dance and urban radio station, capturing the real sound of young Essex. The station plays a variety of urban dance music genres, including house, garage, grime, dance, and drum & bass, catering to the unique tastes of its diverse audience.
Originating as an internet radio station in 2009, Funky SX was awarded a legal community license in 2015 and commenced broadcasting on 1 April 2016 on 103.7 FM and online, making it easily accessible for listeners to tune in live whenever they wish.
