About the Radio Station
<p>The radio station was born during the lockdown and quickly became an important tool for people to communicate and pull together. Through the generosity of local companies and support from the Parish Council, a passionate group of presenters helped Rendlesham Community Radio became an important part of a lot of people’s lives. Now in the present, Rendlesham Community Radio remains important and is supported by a dedicated team of presenters, DJ’s and technical people who work hard to make the station a success. We broadcast via the internet not only locally but also country and worldwide with our listener figures increasing month on month. Looking to the future, we are continually looking at ways to improve our services and offerings to make us appeal the widest audiences possible. We can train anyone with an interest in radio and actively encourage anyone, from any walk of life to get involved. We have plans to expand in the future and are looking at the possibilities of obtaining a DAB licence to greatly expand our listener areas. Rendlesham Community Radio is run entirely by volunteers. We support ourselves through fund raising events and can offer attractively priced advertising packages to local companies and organisations. All the money raised goes towards the running of the station.</p>
