Welcome to Phoenix Radio, a local radio station that has been serving the Calderdale community for over 20 years. Broadcasting on the FM frequency 96.7, Phoenix Radio is Calderdale's first and only local radio station, reaching the surrounding areas and the world online. Founded with the goal of becoming a fully licensed 24/7 community radio station, Phoenix Radio achieved its ambition in December 2006 and has since developed as a beacon for the local community, providing Calderdale with engaging and topical discussions, local news, views, events, and a diverse range of music to suit any ear​​.

Phoenix Radio is more than just a radio station; it's a platform that allows local talent to showcase their abilities, featuring local musicians, comedians, bands, poets, actors, writers, and businesspeople. It highlights issues that affect the local community, such as housing, education, sports, disabilities, and local recruitment availability. The station also provides valuable training for young people aged 16-25 and community groups, fostering the development of transferable skills and building confidence through its Phoenix Radio Empower Project​​.

On Saturday nights, the station switches gears with specialist dance music programs under Phoenix FM's dance music brand, 'Phoenix FM Dance'​.
