About radio
Radio Winchcombe is a vibrant community radio station based in the heart of the Cotswolds, England. Broadcasting on 107.1FM & 106.9FM, it's also accessible online and on smart speakers, reaching an audience of over 25,000 listeners. Established in April 2005, the station offers a diverse mix of talk, music, and local community interest programming, designed to engage the whole community.
Notably, Radio Winchcombe was the first and only radio station in the UK to set up an emergency broadcast during Gloucestershire's worst flooding on record, aiding the community with critical information and communication during the crisis. The station continues to innovate, inspiring similar projects in neighbouring towns and becoming a member of the Community Media Association.
The station went full-time on May 18, 2012, and has continued to increase its range of programs since its first two-day broadcast in 2005. It now offers a broad variety of shows, including popular segments like the Friday Breakfast Show with Charlie Box and Tom Roles, Saturday Sunshine with Adrian Malpass, and Impromptu with John Oldham, among others.
