About radio
Tameside Radio is a popular radio station that broadcasts to the Tameside area of Greater Manchester. The station, which launched on 30 September 2007, is based in Ashton-under-Lyne and broadcasts on 103.6 FM from its transmitter at Harrop Edge in Mottram.
Providing a mix of adult contemporary music and variety, Tameside Radio is a part of the Quest Media Network, currently led by local businessman Chris Bird since January 2019.
The station prides itself on offering the best music to its listeners, with weekday programs presented by Alex Cann, Martin Emery, and Mark Alston and weekend shows hosted by an array of talented presenters including Andy Hoyle, Dan & Mark, and Tim Fernley among others.
In addition to music, Tameside Radio broadcasts national and international news bulletins every hour, with local news updates on weekdays in partnership with the Tameside Reporter newspaper.
