KCC Live

KCC Live is a vibrant, online and on-air radio station, broadcasting from Knowsley, UK. Established in 2003 and on air since 2009 on 99.8FM, KCC Live offers an eclectic mix of music genres, predominantly dance music, but ranging from grime to rock and house, ensuring something for every listener's taste​.

KCC Live prides itself on being more than just a radio station. In addition to its diverse music offerings, the station provides a platform for comedy, debate, and interviews, giving it a unique appeal and providing something for everyone. The station has been recognized for its contributions to the community and the radio industry, recently winning the Station of the Year award at the Prolific North Champions Awards 2021​​.

The station primarily targets the 10- to 24-year-old demographic in Knowsley and surrounding areas such as Liverpool. It operates from Knowsley Community College, underscoring its commitment to engaging with the local community and fostering a sense of unity and inclusiveness​​.

Despite being predominantly volunteer-run and operating from a college campus, KCC Live has managed to compete with and stand out amongst larger organizations such as Channel 4, Lizardfish TV, and BBC Bitesize, a testament to its quality and impact​.
