About the Radio Station
<p>Hits Radio is an engaging and energetic network of 25 contemporary hit radio stations in the United Kingdom, owned and operated by Bauer Media Audio UK. It delivers a steady stream of the biggest hits and throwbacks to a vast audience of 6.7 million weekly listeners as of March 2023. Originally known as Key 103 in Manchester, it was rebranded and relaunched as Hits Radio Manchester in June 2018, targeting music enthusiasts aged 25-44. The station later merged with the national DAB station The Hits, which was rebranded as Hits Radio UK. This allowed it to provide a single national service across the UK on DAB, Freeview, and online. Today, Hits Radio UK broadcasts on DAB in many parts of the UK and has national coverage on Freeview and Sky TV platforms. It also has localized versions that air on FM and DAB in Greater Manchester, as well as on DAB in London. Despite the rebranding, many of the local stations continue to maintain their local identities, broadcasting under local brands like Clyde 1 in Glasgow and Radio City in Liverpool. Hits Radio\'s online platform offers live listening and also provides an impressive line-up of shows like The Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East, James & Matt, and The 10am Throwback. You can enjoy the biggest hits and the biggest throwbacks across a variety of platforms, including web, mobile, radio, speakers, TV, gaming, and in your car. In addition to its dynamic music programming, the station also delivers local programming, news, traffic, and sports updates, alongside networked output from Hits Radio. The station\'s programming is networked across 24 local FM stations, all of which opt out at times for local output.</p>
